Iowa Watersheds

The Iowa Watershed Approach (IWA) will work in nine unique watersheds, representing Iowa’s various landform regions and communities. The IWA will help communities prepare for, respond to, recover from, and adapt to floods.

The IWA targets watersheds impacted by floods from 2011–13. The program represents a vision for Iowa’s future that voluntarily engages stakeholders and promotes collaboration to achieve common goals.
