The Iowa Flood Center is deploying state-of-the-art weather stations to better predict floods, assess droughts, manage water resources, and provide information for the residents of Bremer County, both rural and urban. You’re invited to check out one of the new IFC weather stations on the Greg Eschweiler farm east of Tripoli. The data from this station and more than 20 others around the state are publicly accessible over the internet. Please join us for this special field day for rural and urban folks, community leaders, farmers, and others to learn more about this existing network.
Program: Short presentations, followed by a trip to view the hydrologic weather station
Presentations by: Kate Giannini (Iowa Flood Center), Kip Ladage (bremer County Emergency Management), Angie Auel (Upper Wapsipinicon Watershed Coordinator), and Ron Lenth (Bremer County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach)
